Public Directory of AI Tools [For Nonprofits]

The wait is over…

Although a week late, I finally have the directory ready to share with you.

Although I haven’t worked for a Nonprofit organization before, I have been heavily involved with the sector since my childhood. I’ve volunteered, donated, fundraised, served on committees, held a board seat, and even designed websites for Nonprofits over the years.

During my last corporate gig at Google, I saw firsthand how even small efficiency gains could transform the way teams operated. In my opinion, the same lessons can totally be applied to the Nonprofit sector.

I’ve been curating this directory list for several months now, and only 30 tools made the cut!

I initially planned on creating short video reviews for each tool, but the issue I kept encountering is that by the time a video was created, new features and changes were being released on the platforms… therefore outdating many of the videos.

That said… the directory will not include any video reviews but it’ll still give you a quick overview of each tool. If you’d like me to share specific use-case scenarios for these tools, please email me and let me know.

Tools range from beginner tools like ChatGPT all the way to more advanced tools with autonomous, agentic experiences.

Within the directory you’ll find the tool list, description, price range, and the list goes on.

Some tools are AI-native. Others are familiar platforms you may already be familiar with that now offer AI features. None of the tools are perfect, but each one is improving daily.

These tools are powerful, but they should be used responsibly. Always double-check outputs, protect sensitive data, and make sure AI supports your mission w/o replacing the human judgment at the core of your work.

This directory is open-source. If you want to submit tools for consideration, just email me. I’ll keep adding new tools as I validate them. Contributors will be credited directly in the directory.

My personal favorite and one tool I use the absolute most is: Perplexity

I’ve been using Perplexity everyday without fail for a while now. I mainly use it as a Google-search alternative and personal assistant… among other capabilities.

Now it's your turn! Start exploring! You can find the full list HERE.

Until next week y’all! ✌🏾

Sid’s Book Recommendation

Each week, I recommend a book or film that has impacted my life in a positive way. My recommendation this week is:

Our Iceberg Is Melting by Holger Rathgeber & John Kotter

This book demonstrates the necessity of embracing change to thrive, using the penguins' journey as a metaphor for business and personal transformation. The story highlights common obstacles to change, including denial, fear, and hesitation, while also showing the power of collective action and leadership. Learn more.
